Day +47

Hi Everyone!
Nick's appt yesterday went well. All of his levels continue to be good and they doc's have no major concerns. They are still keeping a close eye on his kidney levels because the numbers have been slowly raising. They feel that that might be due to the cyclosporine and will adjust if the levels continue to rise. Dr Davies said she does not want to mess with anything right now becuase he is doing so well, so no med adjustments at this time. We will just sit tight and wait.
Actualy, we went to day hospital yesterday expecting to get red cells because his hemoglobin has been low for about a week now. Ended up that he made his own cells and the numbers went up on their own. Once again a sign of a VERY STRONG engraftment!! WHOOHOO!!
The "mono" virus came back at zero, so they retested, we should have those results on Tues when we go to clinic. It has to come back positive 3 times for them to start treating for it.
Finally, they ran another FISH test and Nick is still at 100% donor cells AND the BCR-ABL test came back negative. This means that the chromosone that cause CML is GONE!!!!!
We have so much to be thankful for this Easter. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. I really beleive that with out prayer we would not be where we are today.
